Facility Carbon Footprint

Establishing a solid greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, known as your carbon footprint, is the first step to understanding  your carbon performance. Our carbon team will work with your factory to build a carbon footprint to international standards and in accordance with the requirements and protocols of your major customers.

Our service also includes providing your facility team with training and simple tools to continue reporting in-house into the future.

Facilities Energy Management

We find huge potential energy efficiency savings in manufacturing sites. Our energy management service helps our clients understand and realize these savings.

Energy Audit
Our energy auditing service is designed to help you understand your potential for energy savings and the cost effectiveness of technical options available.  For clients familiar with the process and confident savings exists we offer an in-depth investigation of their energy system.  Should you require a more focused approach, perhaps specified by your customers or limited by budget, we can structure an assessment around different processes and sub-systems.

Typical areas of opportunity include lighting, steam, process heating, process equipment, cooling systems , air conditioning, compressed air, fresh water and waste water treatment systems.

To help first-time customers, we also offer guarantees that the energy audit will identify a specific minimum level of savings – for example 10% reductions with a 24-month payback – or the audit is not charged.

RESET Carbon does not sell equipment.  We therefore approach our clients’ energy systems from a neutral perspective and are not incentivised to recommend specific technologies or technology brands.

Following the technical energy audit investigation, as a true one-stop shop we offer implementation services based on the identified retrofit or upgrade needs, budget and capacities of your business. These activities are often deployed in a phased approach focusing on executing simple, rapid payback measures as a priority in order to demonstrate savings quickly to management. Typical implementation services include:

  • Planning and prioritization of energy reduction opportunities
  • Project Management of management of multiple, sequenced activities, including management of subcontractors as appropriate.
  • Detailed design and commissioning of specific engineering solutions.
  • Sourcing of equipment solutions.
  • Technical and non-technical training for office mangers or facility engineers and management staff.
  • Review of new infrastructure plans for energy optimisation.
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems using smart meters and software as appropriate.

Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP) by WWF Hong Kong

The Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP), piloted in 2009 and launched in 2010, aims at reducing carbon emissions generated by manufacturing facilities in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) and developing environmental social governance for those manufacturers.

Essentially a benchmarking, accreditation and labeling tool to help differentiate low carbon manufacturers, factories joining this programme gain access to tools and guidelines to decrease and minimize their carbon emissions, and get recognition by a globally valued NGO brand (WWF).
