RESET Carbon is now officially registered as Qualified Service Provider (Category B) to provide services to office-based organizations and other non-industrial trades operated within Hong Kong seeking to certify their carbon reduction efforts under the Carbon"Less" Certificates Scheme, organized by the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence.

The Carbon"Less" Certificates scheme aims to recognize those buildings or organizations that achieved a verified absolute reduction of overall carbon emissions. Specific objectives are to:

• Encourage local buildings and organizations to identify, and take measures to reduce their carbon footprints;
• Provide recognition to participants according to their respective levels of achievements in carbon footprint reduction; and
• Facilitate reporting of third-party verified achievements of overall carbon footprint reduction.

First time participants to the scheme need to prove to have archieved at least 3% reduction in overall carbon footprint against the baseline. For Certificate renewal, current Carbon"Less" Certificate holders have to at least maintain the previous year's carbon footprint and achieve at least another 3% reduction in overall carbon footprint against baseline within 3 consecutive years.
